Scope of application

    HD series single-throw knife switch and HS series double-throw knife switch are suitable for complete power distribution equipment with AC 50Hz, rated voltage 400V, DC 220V, and rated current up to 1500A. They are used for manual infrequent connection and disconnection of AC/DC circuits or for electrical isolation purposes.
   THE HD13BX-400/31 is a 400A, 380V (AC) rotary-operated knife switch, mainly used for power isolation and circuit protection in low-voltage distribution systems. The following are its core functions :

α.Power isolation - Manually cut off power supply during electrical maintenance to ensure safety.

β.Load Breaking - Capable of Switching Rated Current (400A), Suitable for Normal Load Switching.

γ.Short-circuit protection - Some models can be equipped with fuses (e.g. HD13BX-F) to achieve overcurrent/short-circuit protection.

δ.High Durability - Copper contacts are used, resistant to arc erosion and oxidation, suitable for frequent operation.

Operating Conditions and Installation Conditions

α. The ambient air temperature shall not exceed +70°C and shall not be lower than -25°C, with the average temperature value within 24 hours not exceeding +35°C.
β. The installation site shall not exceed an altitude of 2000 meters.
γ. Humidity: When the maximum temperature is +60°C, the relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 95%. Special measures shall be taken for occasional condensation due to temperature changes.
δ. The pollution level of the surrounding environment is Level 3.
η. The switch should be installed in a location free from significant shaking, impact vibration, and rain or snow intrusion. The installation site should be free from explosive hazardous media, and the medium should not contain gases or dust sufficient to corrode metal or damage insulation.
