         The Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB) SJK M1LE, also known as a Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB), is a safety device designed to detect leakage current in an electrical circuit and automatically disconnect the power supply when a hazardous fault occurs. Its primary purpose is to prevent electric shocks, electrical fires, and equipment damage caused by insulation failure, wiring degradation, or ground faults.

ELCBs are widely used in residential, commercial, and industrial power distribution systems, serving as a critical component in electrical safety. There are two main types of ELCBs:

~Voltage-Operated ELCB (obsolete in most applications)
~Current-Operated ELCB (RCCB – the modern standard)

         The ELCB operates by monitoring leakage current (residual current) in a circuit. If the leakage exceeds a preset threshold, the breaker trips within milliseconds to cut off power.
