Scope of application
HD series single-throw knife switch and HS series double-throw knife switch are suitable for complete power distribution equipment with AC 50Hz, rated voltage 400V, DC 220V, and rated current up to 1500A. They are used for manual infrequent connection and disconnection of AC/DC circuits or for electrical isolation purposes.
The HD(S)11 series central handle switch is mainly used in power stations, and is not intended to cut off live circuits, but serves as electrical isolation.
HD(S)12 series side front lever-operated knife switches are mainly used in switchgear cabinets that require front operation and front maintenance, with the operating mechanism installable on both sides of the cabinet.
The HD(S)13 series front central lever-operated knife switches are mainly used in switchgear cabinets that require front operation and rear maintenance, with the operating mechanism installed at the front.
The HD(S)14 series side-operated handle knife switches are mainly used in power distribution boxes. Knife switches equipped with arc extinguishing chambers can cut off current loads, while other series of knife switches are only used for electrical isolation.
Operating Conditions and Installation Conditions
1. The ambient air temperature shall not exceed +70°C and shall not be lower than -25°C, with the average temperature value within 24 hours not exceeding +35°C.
2. The installation site shall not exceed an altitude of 2000 meters.
3. Humidity: When the maximum temperature is +60°C, the relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 95%. Special measures shall be taken for occasional condensation due to temperature changes.
4. The pollution level of the surrounding environment is Level 3.
5. The switch should be installed in a location free from significant shaking, impact vibration, and rain or snow intrusion. The installation site should be free from explosive hazardous media, and the medium should not contain gases or dust sufficient to corrode metal or damage insulation.
